Improve with Age

Some things definitely improve with age.  Cheese and wine, for example. Even some people improve with age, becoming wiser and happier. Of course, for many people, aging doesn't mean improving, it means declining and gradually losing one's health and one's mental capacity.  I reject that this is normal and in this article I discuss what causes our health to deteriorate as we age and what we can do to counteract it.  I also take about my personal anti-aging program.

Back to School Shouldn't Mean Back to Ritalin

The use of medications to keep children in line in school has become extremely widespread.  Often these medications are used to try to resolve normal behavior problems in children that can easily be solved by other means.  Good nutrition, exercise and better parenting techniques can all be helpful in these situations.  Even with true ADHD, there are natural strategies that can resolve the problem without drugs.

Causes and Solutions for Constipaton

Contrary to what I was taught many years ago, one can get habituated to stimulant laxatives like cascara sagrada and senna.  Traditional herbalists always regarded these herbs as remedies for occasional, not daily use.  I've met many people who can't go to "go" without using these substances, and I don't regard this as healthy.  The goal of herbal medicine should be to restore the body to normal function, not make it dependent on a remedy for daily use.  This article explores strategies for restoring normal bowel function without using stimulant laxatives and includes a detailed explanation of a new formula I helped to create called Gentle Move.

Eating for Pleasure

Eating healthy isn't a matter of self-deprivation.  It's actually a pleasurable experience.  In fact, pleasure is a sign that something is good for the body.  Processed foods only appear to taste good because of the "natural" and artificial flavors they add to fool your body into thinking it tastes good.  As long as you avoid these chemically flavored artificial foods, you can let your senses be your guide.  In fact, learning to "slow down" and take pleasure more in food will help you maintain both your health and your proper weight.

For Men Only

A politically-incorrect article about defending masculinity.  Male sexuality is under assault, both chemically and psychologically.  It's time for men to stand up and defend their right to be men.  Here's my thoughts on the subject.
